It's been available for a month now, but I
just discovered this interesting service over at PRWeb. If you're in their $200 level service
track, they'll do a 5 to 7 minute interview with you concerning the press releases you put out through their company
and they'll promote the interview around the web.I'll be interested to see how many of these we start seeing around the podosphere and whether it ends up worth it for the company's clients. This is the kind of thing that underlines the much discussed need for metrics in podcast listeners. Sounds like a good idea to me, though. Found via Next Level Partner.

1. Seems to me this is an very good deal, as at the 200 dollar contribution level you get additional keyword reporting and now, a podcast!
I just released a Press Release for a client of mine the other day, we paid 160.00 contribution - for another 40 bucks we could have had a Podcast and the better reporting.
Of course, getting the client to do the 5-7 minute interview that would be released as a Podcast would have been a challenge in this case, as I don't directly interface with this client, but the advertising agency I do some freelance work for, www.avatarnewyork.com does interface with them.
So, PRWEB threw in, essentially for free, an important additional feature that improved the entire offering. I also noticed their Press Releases include include built in iframes that show you the homepage of the site who the Press Release is about.
This goes back to Seth Godin's point that improving the product is the best way to get positive attension. PRWEB improved their offerings and they don't have do do anything much special to advertise it....we're doing for them!
