The RSS feed publishing service Feedburner has just
announced a partnership with Newsweek to provide a wide variety of services supporting Newsweek RSS
feeds. The magazine's online component offers nearly 40 feeds on numerous topics. Beyond feed
delivery and analytics, the partnership will also utilize Feedburner's API enabled FeedFlare service - whereby feed
items can be followed with buttons for functions like tagging the item into Del.icio.us or emailing it.
This
is just one of many major partnerships that Feedburner has announced in recent months. The company also provides
RSS services for IDG Tech Publishing ( PC World, Computerworld, Macworld), Reuters, USA Today and many others, including a huge
number of blogs. Feedburner is a company that provides fantastic services and has huge momentum.

(Page 1)2. Mr. Guru, I couldn't agree more. I'll be interviewing Klau myself next week (for http://netsquared.org/tags/interviews ) and will try to post a link here if I can.

1. There's been many improvements in FeedBurners' offerings lately - I met with Rick Klau of FeedBurner about two weeks ago at SES and interviewed him (but never got around to writing it up).
I'm trying to get FeedBurner into as many of my accounts as I can - simply because I know that the web analytics packages don't track RSS Feeds, Podcasts, VidCasts, etc, very well, or at all.
While FeedBurner is still defining itself as a metrics package and feed provider - it's the onlin viable End to End solution for measuring RSS Feeds out there ( I know some will disagree with this but I think it's true).
I pull a lot of RSS metrics, Podcast traffic, etc, and I can absolutely say that FeedBurner is superior in what it can provide for RSS than any web analytics package today. All the Web Analytics vendors need to begin tracking RSS and to my knowledge, none are.
