Bradley Horowitz, the leader of Yahoo!s Technology Development
Group starts his new blog with a bang with a great post discussing how
Social Communities form and scale.
He makes some interesting points around how many people actually need
to create (1%), how many need to be active (10%) so that all the community benefits.
This quote is
especially nice:
"we don’t need to convert 100% of the audience into “active”
participants to have a thriving product"
He also discussed why products such as Flickr and Launchcast have been successful -
through ease of use and 'implicit creation'.
With posts like this one, I'm adding this feed straight into
my reader.

1. Great find, Chris!
