This looks like a pretty sweet partnership —
Six Apart has partnered with VideoEgg to
create a one-stop videoblogging solution via Typepad — or videocasting, as they're calling it (the nomenclature is all
over the place in video space, it seems, with videoblogging, videocasting, vodcasting, video podcasting… this means
more tagging for us! hmmph). It works as a browser plug-in to capture footage directly from your webcam or camcorder
(or cameraphone! yes!) and deliver it straight to the web. This eliminates the considerable hassle of encoding and
dealing with formats and generally mucking about in various and sundry video conversion steps. Rock on. I'm so
intrigued I might have to sign up for Typepad and try it out when I have two
free minutes, which right now I'm pencilling in for mid-2006. But by then I hope to be able to just record my life as
it unfolds via an implanted camera and think the video wirelessly onto my Brainpad blog. Do you think I'm
asking too much?

(Page 1)2. It seems that many portals are scrambling to get bloggers, and typepad has a winner here with the ease of adding video, which other services are still kind of archaic when it ceomto just adding href for an image to be added sometimes.
Nice to see things progressing!

1. Wow, congrats to the Video Egg folks. This is a big step for them over the other video blogging service providers. Last time I looked at least Video Egg wasn't supporting Mac. Hope that changes asap.
