BitTorrent snags $8.75 million in funding

Via Om Malik, via Silicon Beat — Bram Cohen's P2P ubersoftware BitTorrent has scored $8.75 million in Series A funding led by DCM-Doll Capital Management. Om has some earlier thoughts about this; looks like Bit Torrent is pitching the MPAA and RIAA to use BT to distribute legal content.
