So, the rumours were true. eBay just bought Skype for $2.6 billion. If financial targets are met over the course of the next three or four years, eBay will make another payment of up to $1.5 billion, bringing the total value of the deal up to $4.1 billion. They say they'll be creating a "new form of customer service," and I sure as hell hope they succeed because it's high time somebody did.
