The BBC has been doing a whole bunch of clueful things in the internet media space that I've been remiss in giving props about. Shortly after deciding to simulcast BBC1 and BBC2 programming on the internet, they've opened up their Creative Archive of a subset of BBC video and audio content for public usage and remixing. They're doing a contest through September inviting users to come up with the best VJ remix from Creative Archive media. Unfortunately, the license on the material specifies that only UK residents can use the content — yet another reason to envy the Brits beyond the fact that they have much better slang.
