So it looks like the doors on Google Talk
are actually already open. Smashworld has the
settings you'll need and some
instructions on how to get it working with GAIM and Trillian, though the settings should theoretically work for any
Jabber-enabled chat client. If you get it working, post your impressions in the comments.

2. Downloaded it today and feel instantly in love with it. It's so light and airy feeling. Someone I know described it as turning up to a brand new house, undecorated and spacious.
Haven't figured out how/if you can have group convos yet and you can't send files yet.
Nice ringtone for the phone, but haven't tested quality of the calls yet.
This reminds me of when MSN Messenger came out and everyone ditched ICQ because they liked something simpler.
One thing I worry about: when overseas, you can pretty much guarantee any internet cafe computer you go on will have MSN/Windows messenger... how will I keep in touch with Google Talk?
