I keep reading about Flock, which promises to be a cross-platform Firefox-based uber-blogging app, and I'm wondering if any of you out there have had a chance to see it or, better yet, play around with it — if so, please post a comment with your impressions. The prospect of drag and drop blogging sort of makes me salivate, and I have a hunch that Bubbler is not what I'm looking for. Mostly, as Ryan also notes, I'm frustrated with the need to collect information from web sources, then pull it down into a desktop application or applications to remix and author, just so it can go right back out to the web from whence it came. I really want to be able to have a research —> author workflow that is all web. Is that so wrong?

1. I believe Flock's in private beta right now.
