Are you actively using any peer-to-peer sharing networks right now?
How about the Beta of
Peerflix? Under the 'How It Works' tab on their website it says ''Keep what you receive. You own them.'' So, once
you receive a DVD it's yours until you decide to trade it again. There is a 'per trade' cost of 99¢, and you can cancel
your participation at any time. When you sign up you get a 'free' DVD.
So, let's see, you enter your collection of DVDs that you would like to trade in your ''DVDs I have'' list and DVDs
you'd like to see in a ''DVDs I want'' list. You get four mailers, send your DVDs into the Peerflix universe, get
''Peerbux'' assigned for each of the DVDs you place in the trading pool, get a chance to actually 'buy' DVDs from
Amazon via the Peerflix system, and I'm sure lots more but… I kept getting a 'Peerflix is restarting. Please stand by.'
message as I tried to work my way around this DVD sharing system to 'share' some info here with you.
So, anyone using this DVD sharing BETA?

(Page 1)2. I caught your thread and thought I'd chime in with a helpful plug of my own.
You may also find BarterBee.com to be a good alternative to the existing services you discuss. Not only can you trade-in DVD's but you can also trade-in your unwanted CDs and Video Games for the ones you really want.
All transactions are $1.00. Get ANY CD, DVD or Video Game for points and a $1 per-item transaction fee. Maximum $5 in transaction fees per month - get anything you want with no transaction fee after that.
Take a look and join, it's free! Be sure to give us your thoughts.
Cheers,
QueenBee

3. There will soon be an alternative to using peerflix, it's called GatorPond and it's found at http://www.gatorpond.com It's scheduled to go live in the next few months. They will be similar to peerflix, but allow you to trade other media as well. There will be different options that peerflix does not offer. Worth checking out and trying when it launches.
4. GatorPond.com has officially launched. You get UNLIMITED trading for DVD's, VHS, Music CD's, and Video Games. Offers a bit more than peerflix.
Use refered by: Dale Smithey if you sign-up. Feel free to email me too if you have any questions.

1. I've been using peerflix for several months now, and I thought it was pretty slick even when it was just starting although there weren't that many DVD's on it. I watch about 10 movies a month through peerflix, and continue to be happy as the selection and speed improves. Peerflix seems to get better as it grows, while the rental services seem to get worse as they grow.
