In the continuing spirit of the 'days before Valentine's Day' theme I've been running here on The Social Software
Weblog, 'Dusty' left me this tip about a twelve and a half minute
film—Cat food & Bean dip—that he and 'Eric' created.
"...What do most guys really think of Valentine's Day? We are filmmakers known for making short films with an
alternative take on the subject at hand. We think you and your readers will find our short film a refreshing and
honest look inside the mind of an average guy as he attempts to not be alone on Valentine's Day.

(Page 1)2. I never did think V-Day was as big, with respect to gift giving, as many made it out to be. I did watch this short film though and thought it was an excellent demonstration of my thoughts on the subject.....had some hilarious moments too. Kudos to the film makers. You created something definitely worth watching.

3. Thoroughly enjoyed the movie, thanks for posting it. Pretty much summed up my feelings on VDay - it's annoying and irritating sometimes, if I feel I or others are making a "big deal" just b/c they "have to" do so.
But, I like the idea of a society setting aside time for the exact purpose of appreciating and romancing their special someone... so I've been less negative about VDay the last few years.
Nice job on the film, "Dusty" and "Eric".

4. I loved this film. The shots are terrific, the editing a master piece. But, best of all, the topic hits the bullseye about Valentine's Day - and the fear of being alone. Kudo's to all involved....it's a memorable commentary...

5. I loved it. Love... great timing with V-Day.
Insight, meaning, fun, perspective and love. What's not to like. With indepentent films making an impact on wide theatrical releases, this timely gem proves that Dusty and Eric are reading the sensitivities of those of us who love a good story.
I know how he feels.
Have a nice, romantic V-Day!

6. great job on the film guys!...ok, in all honesty, I am the girl that plays Amanda in the short. But, I do think in my objective opintion, that the movie makes some good points. I too am torn b/t liking the idea of doing something special for another on V-day (be it a b-friend, g-friend, or just another friend/family member), but I also hate the monotany of it all. Try to do special things for the people in your life everyday, its so easy to do small things to show you care about your them.

7. This is a great short film with an interesting commentary on the "commercial" aspects of Valentine's Day, as well as what the day is supposed to be celebrating. Well-made and entertaining. Better than a lot of the short films I have seen lately...

8. Great Job on this film! It is SO true.....Valentine's Day shouldn't be something you HAVE to do! Great marketing idea "someone" had one day! :) I say love the one your with everyday & spend your money on something they really need/want besides cards & flowers!
I heard you have another short film coming out soon...can't wait to see that one, too!
Good luck to you, Dusty & Eric.

1. Hi, what's all the fuss about Valentine's Day? It has been a week or so, and almost every post on your (most excellent) blog is about V'Day. Is there no other topic for Social Networking these days? Or is it that Valentine's Day is that huge in the States?
