3. You left off Multiply. While I'm not sure photo sharing is their "emphasis" it's certainly a major feature of the site. In fact I believe they just added the ability to buy prints. Just my opinion, but I think their messaging makes it the best photo sharing site I've seen.

7. http://www.qurio.com offers a somewhat unique photosharing option for Windows users. Its app serves photos directly from your hard drive through your high speed Internet connection so that you don't have to upload your photos anywhere. I have a Mac and thus can't use it, but it looks like an interesting alternative.

8. Qurio was reviewed at www.Imaging-Resource.com in an article titled "Qurio Reinvents Photo Sharing.

The point of the article was that Qurio shares the pictures from the place you already keep them, your own hard drive. So, this innovative approach fits what you do and eliminates the time people spend creating email attachments and uploading to websites.

I use Qurio to share thousands of pictures instantly with friends and family. My kids play a lot of sports and I take pictures of the games. Qurio is fast enough that I can usually have the pictures of the game shared over the Internet before half of the families even get home from the game. For about 40 pictures, I can have the pictures "live" within 2 minutes.

Qurio is available as a free download from the website.
