Exclusive: Rock Band Unplugged Track List

Wallflowerz: Leverage Your Social Network for Cash and Dates!

Wallflowerz is a new dating/social networking site. It has all the usual functionality (e.g. create a profile, search for others, view your friends).  It has a very clean and easily navigable design.  Nothing new there…

But, wallflowerz isn't for wallflowers, especially if you want to make cash!

The unique thing about the site is that it pays you for being active. And people pay to use it on a per use basis.  Instead of a monthly fee to have messaging capability (eg match.com), you have to buy credits.  But, when people message you or when you suggest matches to people, you receive credits that you can withdraw for cold hard cash.

Wallflowerz.com is an online community that rewards you for helping others meet or when other people want to meet you. Whether you have an eye for bringing people together or looking to make new friends, this is the place where introductions have never been easier or more rewarding. It's fun, it's easy and registration is free!

Currently, they charge $15 for 15 credits.  And they pay out $0.90 for each credit you receive.

cupidThis may not be cost effective for the power daters (i.e. guys that try to date a new girl every day), but it may work for the bombshell or stud that gets 50 requests a day. And the eye candy is a very important part of the equation for dating sites.  Getting paid for looking good: It may be vain, but it could work.  On a more romantic note, the people that like to help love bloom by playing cupid, could use wallflowerz to turn that into a profession.

They are running a contest to boost membership:

Between now and July 31, 2004, the user with the most 1st degree friends that have a profile image will win 50 credits!

What do people think? Will wallflowerz fly bloom?
