Canadian Press writer Angela Pacienza, in The Winnipeg Sun, calls Habbo Hotel
a—Vibrant vitual hangout. Habbos
have made it to Canadian shores. Other Habbo Hotels can be found in England, Germany, Italy, Japan, and Spain.
Mix in a little chat, instant
messaging, and social networking along with an avatar body of your choice and you have
Habbo Hotel.
This virtual hangout is free lest you find yourself desirous of additional furniture for your room or fancy a video
game or two—and those can be purchased for pennies a piece. Heavily moderated and profanity free (all conversations are
filtered before being posted to your screen), Habbos are designed for 13-20 year olds and have about 2 million 'unique'
users already checked in to Habbo Hotels worldwide.
Anyone checked in to a Habbo Hotel lately?

3. Does everybody (above) think they are better than a safe, fun game style web site??
i've been on Habbo and think it is perfectly safe and is very well set out for all ages. there are no e-mail adresses necessary to give and you dont need to put in your adress or real name!it can be accessed from all over the world and makes a change from other chatrooms! think again before you critisise somthing so unique!!!!

7. I think this is an excellent idea, Habbo's can side with whichever hobba they want, and they can play games too, it's not all abouts Hobba's its for everyone, like the hardcore hobba was all about hobbas so it makes wannabe-hobba's desire to be a hobba even stronger even if they're too young and that's not fair.
But with the Habbo Games they can all join in :) And theres parties!
add my user name PrittyKittyKuty
Thankyou!

8. Wanna know why? My son has gotten scammed on their twice and he and I emailed Habbo more then a 12 times and no replies whatsoever.......the last scam someone hacked into his acct. and stole all of his items....ones that I bought credits to pay for......Habbo should really check into this sort of thing....

10. I personally think that HabboHotel is a very great and unique idea. It's a place where kids can hang out and relate to people of their own kind. Regarding the "Habbo Credits" or "Creds" for short, it is not necessary to buy them, as it is an optional thing used for virtual furniture and for other fun activities. As some kids say on the chat room, that they cannot enjoy Habbo without credits, but that is not true, as you can still do everything else except purchase furniture. It is true that it is heavily moderated, yet there are many issues regarding "cybersex" and getting around the "bobba" filter. (A swearing filter that replaces each swear word with the unique word "bobba".) To the children who posted regarding this subject above, one thing I have to say about that is yes it's true you can get scammed, yes its true you have to pay for credits, and yes it's ptrue that it is somewhat unsafe, but you can prevent that by acting smart! For example; by not revealing ersonal information such as: E-mail address, phone number, password or address. Habbo is a great alternative to unsafe chatrooms and I hope you al find it positive as well! Thank you for letting me share my comments.

11. Anyone who actually buys credits or furniture on Habbo Hotel is a complete dumbass. Habbo is a virtual CHAT - you TALK!!! Why pay to talk? The concept just fucking stupid.
I might also add how funny it is when habbos get really upset about doorblocking and other activities that prohibit movement of habbo characters. Due to the fact that Habbo is a CHAT (yes, I had to repeat myself), it's absolutely meaningless what square in which your habbo is standing. It is possible to talk from anywhere.
12. BEWARE! My son used my cc card for one purchase. The account was then billed 4 more times. I completed deleted ic access & then was billed again a month later for even more money!!!!Not only does habbo not have a phone # on their website, but they do not have an email address you can use. I disputed charges and CANCELLED MY CC CARD. DO NOT LET THIS COMPANY SCAM YOU

13. i was just scammed today...by someone on my friends list... i mean who the hell does that to one of their friends o yes and habbo makes u pay for furniture so they can keep the servers running...no money=no servers=no people=no habbo...and if u didnt have to pay it wouldnt be as exciting to win a game or anything cuz u could just get it urself... therefore there is a purpose for paying...

15. Hello
I think that HAbbo Hotel is a safe chat room as it doesnt allow you to give out any information and you arent forced to buy things for it
IT is so much fun!!!!!

16. Ok folks. It is not stupid to pay for credits. Habbo Hotel is a business believe it or not.
With the scam issues, don't let you kids be stupid and tell them their passwords. That's about the only way they can get access to your kids or your accounts.
Don't email sulake a million times that you've been scammed. It takes several business days before they will reply.
Think before you post.

20. I think habbo is really kewl. Except, I dont like the scamming. The first and ONLY time i got scammed, was when a girl told me to type my password and press a certain key (which I dont remember) and I did, and my password popped up right on the screen so she could see. My friend and I instantly reported her and she was banned, from what i've heard. If some1 says they can get u FREE credits dont listen they're just trying to hack into your account.
Have fun on www.habbohotel.ca !!!!!!!
add me everyone!!! I'm Blonde014
