Dating Comes To Your Cable Network

Comcast and HurryDate are going to offer a new service according to Associated Press writer Maryclaire Dale— Comcast to Offer Video Dating Profiles.

hurrydate Yikes. How would you feel about your 'dating' profile being broadcast to millions on their TVs? (This is of course in addition to the millions that might already be viewing your profile on any number of Internet dating services that you use now.)

According to Maryclaire Dales, Comcast hopes to boost utilization of its video-on-demand services in and among a younger marketing segment of its subscriber base.

comcast David Colker, a Los Angeles Times staff writer in—Comcast to Play Matchmaker, thinks: "It's perhaps the most open invitation to public ridicule since karaoke." David also says that Comcast will be offering a pilot of this adventure with HurryDate in their hometown of Philadelphia.

Now viewers in the Philly area will be able to 'look for love' while speed surfing TV channels from their couches.
