Looking for a roommate, or a room to rent? Want to know more, more quickly, about your potential roommates?
In an eMediaWire press release today—Roomster.net,
New Roommate Matching Site Offers Unique, Advanced Personality Based Profiles—Modeled after online dating and
social networking sites, entrepreneurs John S. Shriber and Roman Zaks have reinvented the roommate matching industry
with Roomster.
Roomster's founders say: "To facilitate the 'getting to know you' process, we
designed Roomster to be the first roommate matching site that incorporates the matching capabilities of online dating
and the detailed profiles of social networking sites. Because isn't finding a person to live with more of a commitment
than dinner and a movie?"
Why you could even become a member of the cast for an upcoming reality TV show: 'True Life: I'm Moving In', through
Roomster's affiliation with MTV's True Life series.
Check it out. Don't miss an opportunity to tell your story about the move you have been celebrating or loathing.
And, if you are looking for your own apartment, there's always Flatster.

(Page 1)2. I used roomster and was really impressed, I don't know why craig newmark (from craigs list?) would care. craigs list does not charge for their roommate service, and these guys do, there is something for everyone. I found the service to be great and found the social netwoking thing to really work to find a roommate. We are now friends and I thank roomster.net

4. I browsed through the system and tried it out, paid $9 for access. They had thousands of matches in NYC alone. I just heard about roomster the other day. How did they get so big from nowhere? Are they connected to Friendster or something?

6. I used Roomster recently. I have also used some of their competition. I would say these guys have a lot to learn. I purchased a 4 day trial on thier service whic was reasonable. Unlike their competition, they automatically charge you a renewal if you do not cancel your account before the 4 days are up. My bad for not catching that... I got charged.. When I confronted the company, they were much less than understanding. As a matter of fact they told "tough luck" fella. I have responded with them serveal times and they have no clue what customer service is about. I can only assume they are all about getting your money and not about providing a good customer experience. I would not use this company again. I was very happy with their competition.

7. You might ask Roomster if they knowingly scrape addresses and spam people.

1. We're having a major spamming problem with 'em.
Thanks!
