Confirmed: MySpace.com is an eUniverse property; What is eUniverse so ashamed of?

We confirmed from a couple of sources yesterday that MySpace.com is an eUniverse property.

As you may recall the PR people for eUniverse tried to hide it from us, but we called their bs yesterday. Their PR person decided not to call us back after telling us they would be right back to us, which all but confirmed it.

More evidence: It turns out that the phone number for MySpace.com is 310-258-2751, which is pretty darn close to the phone number for eUniverse subsidiary RepsonseBase.com (310-258-2744).

Perhaps they're embarrassed by the fact that they literally photocopied the Friendster.com site?

We're not lawyers, and we certainly don't think that anyone should be able to file silly business process patents, but MySpace.com is a straight up rip off.
